I’m a bitch, I’m a bitch oh, the bitch is back
Stone cold sober as a matter of fact
I can bitch, I can bitch ’cause I’m better than you.
Today, tens of thousands of women have taken to the streets, in the 2018 Women’s March, to remind our government that we are here, we are united, and we will not be silenced.
Funny, poignant signs are seen everywhere. Signs that let us know that Trump is a terrible human being and an even worse president. Signs that support DACA. Signs referencing the #MeToo movement. Signs that help amplify the voices of these women.
There is power and strength in numbers, and we are a force to be reckoned with. Our voices will ring loud and true in November, when we take to the voting booths. Our thoughts and perspectives will be given a platform when we win elected seats.
We will never again burn our bras. We won’t ask for equality. Equality is so last year. We don’t want equality now; we want power. We want to run shit, and trust me when I say that we are well on our way to doing so.
You’ve had your chance. We warned you. We begged you. We reasoned with you. You ignored us, abused us, spat in our faces (both literally and figuratively), you ignored us, you mocked us. No more. We won’t allow it. It’s our turn now.
Men, GOP, Congress…we’re coming for you. The bitch is back. Buckle up; the ride is about to begin.
