The Bible, or The Qur’an?

How well can you tell The Bible from The Qur’an? In this table, one scripture on each side is from The Bible, and the other from The Qur’an. Which is which? No Googling! (Answer key at the bottom, but try to guess all of them, first.)

Eat of the good things which [God/Allah/Jesus] have provided for you. So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of [God/Allah/Jesus].
Indeed, [God/Allah/Jesus] is with those who are righteous and those who do good. Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever.
But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people;” He said: “Nay, I am only a messenger from thy Lord, (to announce) to thee the gift of a Holy Son.”
And on the Day of Judgment He will be a witness against them. I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak.
Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you. Peace will be upon you. I will ask forgiveness for you of my Lord. Verily, He is ever gracious to me.
You may fight in the cause of [God/Allah] against those who attack you, but do not aggress. [God/Allah] does not love the aggressors. For he is [God/Allah]’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of [God/Allah], an avenger who carries out [God/Allah]’s wrath on the wrongdoer.

How’d you do?

Some fun notes:

Check them both out some time. You’d be amazed at how many times both books describe God/Allah as vengeful and wrathful; how the dietary laws are identical; how men and women are to conduct themselves; and so much more! Perhaps the fact that they’re both ancient texts has something to do with that…
